Overview/Introduction

Students can grant access to a parent or guardian by setting them up as a Person Proxy. This allows the proxy to view billing information, access statements, print receipts, and make account payments on the student’s behalf.

Once a student designates someone as a proxy, the proxy will receive an email containing their username (typically formatted as firstname.lastname — note the period between names) along with instructions for setting a password and logging in.

The article below will also help when a proxy user logs in successfully to the site https://selfservice.ursinus.edu/Student/ and the change Proxy user "Person Proxy" pop-up window doesn't show in the middle of the screen.

Accessing the Student Account as a Proxy

When a proxy successfully logs in at https://selfservice.ursinus.edu/Student/, a pop-up window titled Person Proxy should appear in the center of the screen. This window allows the proxy to choose which student’s account they are acting on behalf of.

If the Proxy Pop-Up Does Not Appear or to Choose Another Student (if you are a proxy for multiple students)

  1. Navigate to the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Click on your username (e.g., john.doe) located just to the left of the Sign Out option.

  3. In the dropdown menu, select Change Proxy User.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  4. A list of associated student accounts (e.g., your student’s name) will appear.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  5. Select the desired student to begin viewing their information and acting on their behalf.

After switching to the student’s account, proxies can perform tasks based on the permissions granted by the student — such as making payments or viewing grades.

FAQs

Who can update my proxy permissions?

Only the student can add, change, or remove permissions for their proxy. If you need access to additional features or information, please contact your student directly.

What if I forget my username or password?

An email with your username or password reset instructions will be sent to the email address your student entered when they set up your proxy access.

If you do not receive the email, please ask your student to verify the email address associated with your proxy profile in their account settings.
