Add an ICS file to Outlook on the web

Issue

 I have trouble adding an ICS file to Outlook on the web. How do I address this issue?

Environment

This article applies to Microsoft Office 365 and Ursinus College users who utilize the webmail version of Outlook online. 

Resolution

To add an ICS file to Outlook on the web, you can do the following:

1. Locate the calendar you want to add and save it to a folder on your computer as an .ics file
2. Sign into Outlook on the web
3. Click the Calendar icon at the bottom of the navigation pane
4. Click Add calendar on the toolbar
5. Click From file, then Browse, choose an .ics file, and click Open
6. Select Import

Cause

Downloadable ics. files are made available regularly but not always clear instructions to add the downloadable file to your calendar.
