Setting up Ursinus email (Office 365) on an Android phone

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up your Ursinus College email using the default Mail app on an Android phone.

As an alternative, you can download the Outlook app from the Google Play Store and add your Ursinus email account to that app.

Steps to Set Up Office 365 in the Mail App:

  1. Open the Mail App

    • Open the default Mail app on your Android device.

    • Tap on Add Account (if you already have an account set up, go to Settings > Add Account).

  2. Select Account Type

    • Choose Exchange or Microsoft 365 as the account type.

  3. Enter Your Email Address

  4. Enter Your Password

    • Enter the password associated with your Office 365 account.

    • Tap Sign in.

  5. Grant Necessary Permissions

    • If prompted, allow the Mail app to access your device and sync data.

    • You may need to approve the login via multi-factor authentication (MFA), if enabled.

  6. Configure Additional Settings (if prompted)

    • Server: outlook.office365.com

    • Domain: Leave blank

    • Username: Your full email address

    • Security Type: SSL/TLS

  7. Complete the Setup

    • Tap Done or Next.

    • Your Office 365 email should now sync with the Mail app.
