How to Connect your Windows Computer to a Network Printer

Overview/Introduction

Connecting or "mapping" a network printer to a Windows computer is a simple process.  You must be connected to the Ursinus network either wireless, wired, or VPN.

1. Click your 'Start' button, type \\zack, and hit the Enter key

2. From the list of printers, double-click your desired printer OR right-click the printer and click 'Connect'

3. Your computer will automatically connect to the printer and the printer will be available for you to print to.

FAQs

Print jobs are charged back to your department at a rate of 4 cents per B&W page and 10 cents per color page.

Choose the "Secure_Global_Print" printer to be able to print to any networked printer on campus. To release the print job, go to any printer on the network, and log in to that printer via "ID Swipe" or "Pullout Keyboard entry".

Note: If you need to print directly to multiple department printers you should contact Tech Support to set up accounting example of this would be an admin working for different departments.
