What Is It?
Use this form to help Campus Safety reunite lost items with their owners. You can use it to:
- Report an item you lost on campus, or
- Report an item you found and turned in (or plan to turn in) to Campus Safety or another designated location.
Lost & Found procedures at universities generally aim to ensure that items found on campus are properly recorded, safeguarded, and returned to their owners when possible, with clear rules for how unclaimed items are eventually handled.
Examples of items to report:
- Wallets, IDs, keys, phones, laptops, and other personal electronics
- Backpacks, textbooks, clothing, or other personal belongings
- Items with obvious monetary or sentimental value
Please do not use this form to report hazardous or suspicious items (e.g., drugs, weapons, unknown substances). Those should be reported directly to Campus Safety by phone or in person.
After you submit this form:
- Campus Safety staff will check whether the item has already been turned in or logged.
- If a possible match is found, staff may contact you for additional details to verify ownership and arrange pickup.
- Items not claimed within the timeframes set by university policy may be disposed of or donated according to that policy.
