Bias‑based Behavior

What Is It?

Use this form to report Bias based behavior that you experienced, witnessed, or were informed about. Bias‑based behavior includes conduct, comments, or actions that appear to be motivated fully or in part by a person’s actual or perceived identity (such as race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics).

Examples may include:

  • Derogatory or demeaning remarks about identity
  • Written or online messages targeting a protected characteristic
  • Vandalism or symbols directed at an identity group
  • Repeated unwanted jokes or comments related to identity

This form is not an emergency reporting tool.
If you believe there is an immediate threat to anyone’s safety, call Campus Safety at 610-409‑3333 or 911 first, then submit this report if appropriate.

Campus Safety will review your report, coordinate with the appropriate offices (for example, Student Affairs, Title IX, or Human Resources), and determine next steps. Some incidents may also be documented in Maxient when required for conduct, Clery, or other reporting purposes.

You may choose to provide your name and contact information or report anonymously. Providing your contact information allows us to follow up with questions and share information about available support resources.

When to Use This Service

Use this service when:

  • You have a concern about possible bias‑based behavior on or connected to campus.
  • You want Campus Safety and/or Student Affairs to be aware of an incident, even if you are not sure whether it violates a policy or law.
  • You are reporting on behalf of someone else who has shared information with you.

DO NOT use this service when:

  • There is an immediate safety threat or ongoing violence → Call Campus Safety / 911.
  • You are reporting a crime in progress → Call Campus Safety / 911.
