Report Suspicious Behavior / Suspicious Activity

What Is It?

Use this form to report suspicious behavior or suspicious activity that you observe on or around campus.

Suspicious behavior may include actions or situations that seem unusual for the time, place, or circumstances and make you concerned about safety or potential criminal activity. This is about behaviors and actions, not about how someone looks or who they are.

Examples can include:

  • Someone trying door handles or looking into offices/rooms repeatedly
  • A person loitering in restricted or sensitive areas without a clear reason
  • Attempts to hide or discard objects when others approach
  • Behavior that suggests someone may be planning theft, vandalism, or other crime
  • Repeatedly following or watching people in a way that feels threatening

If you are not sure whether something is suspicious, you are still encouraged to report it. It is better to share a concern and let Campus Safety assess it than to ignore a situation that could pose a risk.

This form is not a substitute for 911.
If you believe there is an immediate threat to anyone’s safety, a crime in progress, or an emergency, call Campus Safety at 610-409-3333 or 911 right away. You can submit this form afterward to provide additional detail if needed.

After you submit this form:

  • Campus Safety will review your report and may:
    • Dispatch officers to the area,
    • Monitor for similar reports or patterns,
    • Coordinate with other departments or law enforcement when appropriate.
  • Your report may also help inform safety advisories or alerts when there is a serious or continuing threat to the campus community.

You may provide your name and contact information or submit anonymously, where allowed. Including contact information helps if officers need clarification or follow‑up.
